Centennial Edition March 21-25, 2022<\/h2>\n

As part of the Eastman School of Music Centennial celebration, we are bringing back the weeklong Women in Music Festival that took place annually from 2005 to 2014 during Women\u2019s History Month. For the 2022 edition, we are celebrating composer Florence B. Price, women in brass and in jazz, and Mexican composer Georgina Derbez. We are also welcoming back alumni Nicole Keller, organist, and Leonard Hayes, pianist. See the Festival Schedule below for an overview of the events.<\/p>\n

The Music She Writes<\/em> is a virtual festival highlighting the diversity and significance of music by Asian Female Composers within the contemporary music landscape. Organized by Eastman School of Music alumne composer Ania Vu<\/strong> and pianist Eunmi <\/strong>Ko<\/strong>, this series of four virtual concerts will broadcast every other Friday at 7:00 p.m.from April 1st<\/sup>\u00a0to May 13th<\/sup>\u00a02022 as part of the Eastman Centennial “100 concerts to celebrate 100 years” at: https:\/\/www.rochester.edu\/adv\/eastman-centennial\/get-involved\/100-concerts\/<\/a><\/p>\n
